National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence (Via Government of Canada)
A number of community groups have received funding for projects aimed at addressing violence.
The province is helping to fund 19 projects with more than $828,000.
Funding is available through a $13.6 million, four-year bilateral agreement under the National Action Plan to End Gender-based Violence.
Among those getting a share of the funding are Iris Kirby House, the Buckmaster’s Circle Community Centre, the City of Mount Pearl, the John Howard Society and Nain Transition House.
