The Enji-Maawinjidiyaang Indigenous Friendship Centre is proud to announce its 1st Annual Golf Tournament, taking place on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Stoneridge Championship Golf Course.

This event is not just a golf tournament — it’s a community gathering. The Friendship Centre is calling on local teams, businesses, and organizations to come together for a day of fun, connection, and cultural celebration.

All proceeds will support Indigenous-led programming in the region, including:

Language restoration
Youth and children’s activities
Cultural awareness initiatives
Family engagement events

“This tournament is more than a game — it’s a gathering of people, cultures, and communities,” said Elizabeth Richer, Interim Executive Director of the Enji-Maawinjidiyaang Indigenous Friendship Centre. “It’s a chance to walk together in friendship, to support healing, and to take real steps toward meaningful reconciliation. We need teams to play, sponsors to stand with us, and community members to show up — because every swing, every sign, and every smile helps build a future rooted in respect, unity, and hope.

How to Get Involved:

Register a Team: Enjoy a day of golf, prizes, and community spirit.
Sponsor a Hole or Banner: Packages range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Donate a Prize: All contributions will be recognized during the event.

Some great prizes are already lined up, including a hole-in-one and other on-course competitions. What local organization will claim the title of top team? Let’s make this gathering a success — join us on Sept. 26 and help build a stronger, more connected future.
