Ford has issued a recall affecting more than 120,000 vehicles in Canada due to potentially faulty rearview cameras.
The recall includes the Navigator, Lincoln MKC, Mustang, Ranger, Transit, Transit Connect, Econoline, Edge, Expedition, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD and F-550 SD from between the model years of 2015 and 2019.
Transport Canada’s recall notice says the issue affecting the camera may cause the image to be distorted or blank when the vehicle is in reverse, increasing the potential risk of a crash.
The notice from Transport Canada is part of a broader recall affecting around 1.9 million vehicles worldwide over the faulty rearview cameras.
Impacted owners will be notified by Ford by mail and are advised by Transport Canada to take their vehicles to a dealership for inspection and replacement if necessary.
