Drafted fourth in the 2005 NBA draft, Paul begins his 21st season back in Los Angeles alongside veterans Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and recently acquired Bradley Beal.
The future Hall of Famer played some of his best seasons during his time with the Clippers from 2011-17. Paul was named an all-star in five consecutive seasons and made all-defence first team six times.
He averaged 8.8 points, 7.4 assists and 1.3 steals in his lone season with the San Antonio Spurs last year.
Paul, 40, is the second-oldest active player in the NBA, trailing Lebron James (40) by only 127 days.Â
Despite his age, Paul turned back the clock last season in San Antonio, playing in all 82 regular-season games for the second time in his career. He last accomplished the feat in 2014-15.Â
Paul also became the first player in NBA history to start all 82 games in their 20th season.
