Glen Powell is speaking out for the first time on his breakup from Gigi Paris, more than two years after their relationship ended.

For those who don’t know, Glen and Gigi dated for three years from 2020 to 2023 and their split happened while he was in Australia filming the movie Anyone But You with Sydney Sweeney.
At the time, there were rumors that something was going on between Glen and Sydney and while rumors were shot down at the time, it was later alleged that they were feeding into the rumors to promote the movie. Gigi recently gave an in-depth interview where she talked about what actually happened.
Now, Glen is speaking out too.
“I will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her,” Glen told GQ. “Everybody’s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she’s welcome to it.”
The magazine noted that Glen was “carefully” choosing his words.
“Relationships are really hard. And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative,” he added.
Glen also received advice from Tom Cruise, his co-star from Top Gun: Maverick.
“He basically said, ‘Hey, it’s going to get really, really loud. It’s your job to just turn the volume down. Just remember you have your hand on that switch. You have your hand on the ability to turn up that noise or turn it down.’ And really just turning down the noise and trusting your own gut has been a real godsend for me,” Glen said.
