BOSTON – Concluding its longest true road swing in 24 years, the Boston University women’s soccer program makes the short trip to Harvard on Thursday (Sept. 11). Opening kick is set for 7 p.m.
 
BU (3-2-1) would finish 3-1-1 on the stretch with a win before playing three of its next five contests at home. Thursday also marks the Terriers’ non-conference road finale.
 
Harvard (0-3-2) seeks its first win in 2025. The Crimson are in the midst of a seven-game homestand, sporting a 0-1-2 record in that span.
 
Thursday’s match airs on NESN in the New England area and on ESPN+. Live statistics and an international stream are also available through the Harvard athletic department.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS


BU recorded a 2-2 draw at UMass Lowell on Sept. 7 in its last match.
Senior Mackenzie Stickelman and freshman Georgia Prouty each found the back of the net, with senior Giulianna Gianino and sophomore Olivia Avellar picking up assists.
Senior goalkeeper Susan Shobeiri tallied two second half saves.
For their efforts, Stickelman and Prouty were named the Patriot League Midfielder and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on Sept. 8.
Gianino leads the Patriot League in assists (four), points per game (1.67) and shots on goal (12).
On Sept. 10, Class of 2025 alumna and 2024 Patriot League champion Celia Braun signed a professional contract with FC Basel 1893 in the Nationalliga A league.
With a win, the Terries will secure three non-conference road wins for the first time since 2022.

SCOUTING HARVARD


The Crimson are coming off a 1-1 tie with Northeastern back on Sept. 7.
Like the Terriers, Harvard also sustained a 2-1 loss to Fairfield. The Crimson will play New Hampshire on Sept. 14.
Audrey Francois, Lauren Muniz and Elsa Santos López each have three points on one goal and one assist. Rhiannon Stewart boasts a .759 save percentage.
Harvard was ranked third in the Ivy League preseason poll following a 7-4-5 campaign and an Ivy League Tournament semifinal appearance in 2024.

SERIES HISTORY


Thursday marks the 27th all-time meeting between BU and Harvard in a series that began in 1997.
The matchup is tied at 10-10-6.
The Crimson triumphed in last year’s contest at Nickerson Field, 1-0, behind a 32nd-minute tally from Susie Long.
In the previous contest at Jordan Field, BU upset No. 25 Harvard, 1-0, behind Abigail McNulty’s goal in the 16th minute and Braun’s nine-save shutout.
Harvard is 5-3-4 at home against the Terriers.

BU concludes non-conference play with its first home game since Aug. 21, hosting Bryant on Sunday (Sept. 14). Opening kick is slated for 1 p.m.
