In a show of solidarity, Monday night’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will feature appearances from four of Colbert’s closest late-night allies: Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, and Jon Stewart.

According to sources inside the taping, all four hosts stopped by The Late Show this afternoon to tape cameo appearances with Colbert in the wake of CBS’s decision to cancel the program after the 2025–26 season. Details of the cameos remain under wraps.

Fallon and Meyers, who anchor NBC’s late-night lineup both posted messages of support for Colbert on social media Friday. “As shocked as everyone,” Fallon wrote. Meyers added, “For as great a comedian and host as he is, Stephen is an even better person.” Oliver, who appeared at the debut of the Erie Moon Mammoths Saturday, told reporters there that Colbert’s cancellation was “terrible, terrible news for the world of comedy.”

Stewart, Colbert’s one-time boss turned good friend and executive producer on The Late Show, has remained notably silent. In addition to his appearance on The Late Show, sources tell LateNighter Stewart also addresses Colbert’s cancellation on The Daily Show tonight.

Today’s Late Show taping was a reunion of sorts for Colbert and three of his fellow Strike Force Five members, with Jimmy Kimmel the lone holdout. (Kimmel has made his feelings on Colbert’s cancellation known. Shortly after the news broke Thursday evening, he posted an Instagram Reel with a simple two-part message: “Love you Stephen.” And: “F*ck you CBS and all your Sheldons.”)
