Joey Logano warned his rivals that he’s coming for the win on his return to his New Hampshire “home.”
Logano remains alive in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, surviving the Round of 16 elimination race at Bristol, which was won by Christopher Bell. Logano, the reigning Cup Series champion chasing a fourth crown, finished fifth in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race and advanced to the next round in style.
The 35-year-old is now looking forward to competing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Logano grew up in Middletown, Connecticut, and naturally considers the circuit his home course.
Logano certainly has had success there. The Team Penske star has won two of the last three races at the track.
Ultimately, Logano considers New Hampshire Motor Speedway his own course. Each time he returns to race on the Magic Mile, it feels like a homecoming.

“I am from Connecticut and I consider it my home track,” said Logano. “I watched my first Cup race there as a kid, I started my first Cup race there and I won my first Cup race there so Loudon is a place with a lot of great memories for my whole life. It is always a lot of fun to go up there.”
Heading into New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Logano is currently in 10th place. It’s the final stop in the Cup Series playoff field of 12, which means he needs stage win points and a top-five finish to improve his chances to advance to the last eight.
If Logano wins, he will automatically advance, but he knows it will be difficult. He added: “We have to go out there and do our thing.
DON’T MISS
“We are going to go out there and perform and Loudon is a fun track. It has been a very good track for us and I feel we should be strong there. If we win, we move on to the round of eight, and if not, we need stage points, and an honest finish would help.”
Logano is chasing another win at New Hampshire in the latest round of the Cup Series Playoffs on Sunday, Sept. 21.
