Did Brock Lesnar Retire John Cena At WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025

WWE

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena opened tonight’s WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 premium live event debuting on ESPN.

Ahead of the match, Lesnar claimed he was going to cut Cena’s retirement tour short at tonight’s show, with Cena only having five appearances left afterwards.

As Alicia Taylor was doing the ring introductions, she was interrupted by Lesnar’s long-time advocate Paul Heyman, who introduced Lesnar himself.

It’s unclear whether there’ll be any fallout from this from Seth Rollins and the rest of The Vision, who Heyman is currently managing.

Heyman didn’t stay ringside for the match, he just introduced Lesnar beforehand.

The match itself only lasted less than 10 minutes, and it was Lesnar who emerged with the win.

He hit more F5s on Cena afterwards for good measure, leaving commentary to question what the future holds for Cena and his retirement tour.

However, Cena did get up afterwards and walked to the back, so it appears his retirement tour will indeed proceed as planned since the damage wasn’t enough to keep him down.

His next appearance will be at the WWE Crown Jewel premium live event in Perth, Australia, which takes place on October 11.

After that, there’s Raw at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on November 10, Raw at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 17, Survivor Series ‘WarGames’ in San Diego on November 29, and his final match in Washington, DC on December 13
