ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Macalester College men’s golf team participated in the Saint John’s Fall Invitational, held at St. Cloud Country Club Saturday and Sunday. The Scots finished 15th in the team standings out of 19 teams.
First year Ray Zhang (San Ramon, Calif./Dougherty Valley) closed with an even-par 72 on Sunday to tie for 46th. Senior Harry Cheng (Taipei, Taiwan/Heping Municipal) tied for 61st, three shots back of Zhang, with sophomore Aaron Cheng (Mountain View, Calif./Taipei American School) finishing one stroke behind Harry Cheng in a tie for 68th. Senior Ben d’Entremont (Cranston, R.I./Moses Brown School) tied for 86th to close out the top four for Macalester.
The Scots head to the MIAC Championships Sept. 27-29 at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
