Calgary Stampeders quarterbacks Vernon Adams Jr. and P.J. Walker each left Friday’s game against the BC Lions early with apparent injuries.
Adams went down in the second quarter after a 10-yard run and did not return, officially being ruled out toward the end of the third quarter.
Walker came on to replace Adams but suffered an injury of his own late in the fourth quarter when he took a hit and landed hard on his right side. Walker made his way off the field accompanied by the training staff appearing to favour his right shoulder.
After the game, Calgary head coach Dave Dickenson told reporters Adams was dealing with a rib injury and Walker an arm injury.
Post-game, Dave Dickenson said Vernon Adams Jr’s injury was more ribs than anything else. PJ Walker was arm.
2 QBs down in a single game.
Fascinating to see next steps here.
