The list of winless NFL teams continued to dwindle in Week 3.

The New York Jets beat out the other five 0-3 teams to have the top pick in the projected 2025 NFL draft order after Sunday’s games.

The Jets ran through a three-game gauntlet against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to start the season.

An easier schedule, at least on paper, awaits the Jets, which could mean a new team tops the draft order as early as next week.

Updated 2025 NFL Draft Order

The Jets moved into the top pick after their close loss to the Buccaneers.

Aaron Glenn’s team had the lead late in the fourth quarter, but it conceded a game-winning drive, led by Baker Mayfield.

The Jets have a few shots at victories in the coming weeks, though, starting with the Miami Dolphins on Monday night in Week 4.

Miami could potentially start 0-4 and then face three of the next four on the road.

Additionally, the Dolphins play the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers at home before a trip overseas to play the Washington Commanders on November 16.

Miami could easily be the favorite for the top pick if that schedule eats up Mike McDaniel’s team.

New Orleans will likely be the toughest competition for the top pick. The Saints were not even competitive on Sunday in Seattle.

The Saints will likely drop to 0-4 with a loss in Buffalo next week. They could be buried deep down in the standings if they fail to beat either the New York Giants or New England Patriots at home in Weeks 5 and 6.

No one is sure who the prize will be at the top of the 2026 NFL Draft just yet, but we at least know that New Orleans will probably be picking in the top three unless things take a dramatic turn for the better.
