Despite No. 6 seed Indiana claiming Game 1 of the best-of-five WNBA semifinals series against No. 2 seed Las Vegas, the Aces emphatically responded on Tuesday night from Michelob ULTRA Arena with a 90-68 Game 2 throttling of the Fever to even the series score at 1-1.
Unsurprisingly, the Aces’ dominant win was guided by four-time league MVP A’ja Wilson, who posted 25 points on 10-for-19 from the floor, 1-for-1 from 3-point territory, and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, to go along with nine rebounds, five steals, two blocks, and one assist in her 33 minutes of action.

Along with Wilson’s scoring, Las Vegas got 18 points from NaLyssa Smith, 13 points from Jackie Young, 10 points each from Jewell Loyd and Dana Evans, and two points from former Iowa women’s basketball legend Megan Gustafson.
As for Indiana’s offensive production, Odyssey Sims led the team with 18 points on 7-for-12 from the floor, 1-for-2 from deep, and 3-for-5 from the stripe, which was followed by 15 from Lexie Hull, 13 from Kelsey Mitchell, and 10 from Aliyah Boston.
Boston would add 13 rebounds to her stat line to collect her third-straight double-double of the 2025 WNBA Playoffs and fifth overall in her seven postseason games played throughout her three-year career.

While it was expected that Las Vegas would play with high intensity after being blown out in Game 1, the Fever’s lack of offensive depth, a 48-34 scoring disadvantage within the paint, and 28 points surrendered off their 22 turnovers were all contributors to their struggles in Game 2.

As much as the loss stings, the Fever accomplished a very important goal through the first two games of the series: Take “home-court advantage” from the Aces.

Although the Fever would have loved to travel back to Indianapolis with a 2-0 series lead, earning a road split now guarantees two games at home and a chance to potentially advance to the WNBA Finals in front of a sold-out crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
With the series now tied 1-1, Indiana will need to regroup and find a way to secure a crucial Game 3 win, as the momentum in the series will significantly shift to whoever wins that game.
Game 3 between the Fever and Aces is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28, from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a 6:30 p.m. CT tipoff.
