Tyendinaga Police Service (TPS) provided another update on the raids that continue on the lands of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte.
On Thursday evening, officers highlighted one illegal cannabis production bust in particular.
Officials say they seized tens of thousands of marijuana plants, along with a hand gun and a high capacity magazine.
They add it had significant environmental impact on the land, depleting water in a quarry and lowering the adjacent water table.
The unspecified site also had illegal dumping of waste/garbage, along with poor living conditions on site.
Arrest warrants for non-community members have been issued.
On Wednesday, TPS and the OPP’s Crime Enforcement Bureau recovered stolen property, seized firearms, and halted unlawful diversion of water from the Bay of Quinte.
