Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook twinned in trench coats for their latest outing. On Thursday night, they stepped out for the opening of RH Manhasset at The Gallery at Americana.

Christie layered her khaki outerwear over a one-shoulder navy dress, adding on bedazzled mesh heels and a matching crystal-encrusted Fendi baguette. Sailor also opted for a blue shade, selecting a V-neck satin slip. She accessorized with strappy black sandals and a metallic Saint Laurent clutch.

Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband Peter Cook, with whom she also has a son named Jack.

Back in July, Billy Joel opened up about his decade-long marriage to Christie in the second part of his HBO documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes. The former couple reminisced about falling in love.

After meeting in St. Bart’s in 1983, they went on their first “real date” to a Beach Boys concert back in New York City.

“Here I am dating this beautiful supermodel and…me? I’m from Hicksville. What am I doing with her? What’s she doing with me? But that was a very productive time for me,” Joel says in the film. “I wrote a lot of songs for her. She was a muse.”

“It was like being a teenager all over again,” he added. “Experiencing those same emotions that I had when I was first discovering romance and love.”

Joel and Christie would go on to tie the knot in 1985, the same year they welcomed their daughter, Alexa.

Christie and Joel divorced in 1994, but they remained co-parents and are now close friends: Joel is even the Godfather of the supermodel’s two younger children, Jack and Sailor.
