Drake has announced that for the first time ever, the King of Dancehall, Vybz Kartel, will be performing in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena in October at OVO Fest.

Since his release from prison in July 2024, Kartel has shown up for dancehall fans around the world performing in sold-out arenas, including New York’s Barclays Centre, the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, and the 02 Arena in London.

This surprise announcement debuted in a collab post between the 6ix God himself and Kartel, with Drake announcing that Vybz Kartel will be headlining in Drake’s hometown in celebration of his birthday for OVO Fest.
