September has been a hot month for celebrity sightings in Vancouver, and those celebrities have sure been enjoying the local dining scene.
Whether it’s a spot specializing in steak frites or one of the many great Indian restaurants around town, these celebs have been enjoying it all. Keep on reading to see which stars have been spotted around Vancouver and, more importantly, where they ate.
The Jonas Brothers have been spotted all over Metro Vancouver, as the trio were in town for their tour, plus filming Camp Rock 3. Both Nick and Kevin Jonas were spotted at the recently opened Desi Indian Lounge.
“We were honoured to host @nickjonas @jonasbrothers last night; an evening full of memories and incredible flavours. Thank you for letting us share our food and hospitality that Desi is all about,” shared the restaurant on Instagram.
The team from Desi confirmed to Dished that the brothers enjoyed paneer tikka, salmon, butter chicken, and vindaloo.
Located on Hornby Street between Pacific and Drake, Desi Indian Lounge opened its doors earlier this year and is best known for its elevated take on Indian favourites.
With Nick Jonas in town, it’s no surprise that actress Priyanka Chopra was also seen dining around the city.
Chopra made a stop at another fan-favourite Indian restaurant, Sula on David Street.
“Thank you, @priyankachopra, for joining us at Sula Davie Street! It was an honour to share our food and hospitality with you,” the restaurant wrote on Instagram.
Sula first got its start on Commercial Drive back in 2010 and has since opened multiple locations throughout Metro Vancouver. It’s best known for its authentic Indian eats, and its Davie Street outpost first opened its doors near the start of last year.
After headlining The Great Outdoor Comedy Festival, headliner John Mulaney enjoyed a meal at the much-loved Lunch Lady alongside other comedians Zach Galifianakis, Nick Kroll, Jason Mantzoukas, Mike Birbiglia, and Fred Armisen.
“Such a fun night and great show at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Vancouver,” wrote Kroll in an Instagram post.
“Jason and Zach were in town for a Greek festival, or so I assume. So glad we were all able to meet up for a delicious meal at The Lunch Lady. Just lovely!”
The Lunch Lady is a hot spot for celebrity sightings, having hosted Seth Rogen, Bowen Yang, and Tzi Ma for a visit, and welcoming Benedict Wong and Jimmy O. Yang while they were in town.
Actor Justin Hartley (Tracker, This Is Us, Smallville) was recently seen dining at Il Posto in Delta.
“We sure have had some fun visitors to our little Village lately! @justinhartley, you’re welcome back any time!” shared the restaurant on its Instagram.
Il Posto, which first opened in 2018, bills itself as a casual Italian eatery offering selections like pizzas, pastas, and more.
Currently, Hartley is in town filming the third season of Tracker.
Vij’s is no stranger to celebrity sightings, with the likes of BLANK. Joining the list is Hilary Swank, who dined at the restaurant earlier this month.
“On Aug. 28, Hilary Swank visited Vij’s, where she and her guest enjoyed a fully vegetarian dining experience on the restaurant’s stunning rooftop patio, surrounded by thriving plants and fruit,” a representative from Vij’s told Dished.
For those unfamiliar, Vij’s is an Indian restaurant renowned for its inventive cuisine, exceptional service, and signature dishes, including its marinated lamb popsicles.
Among the many items Swank and company enjoyed were some ginger lemon sodas and a spread of classic dishes like creamy dhal makani, vegetarian biryani, smoky eggplant curry, and coconut-curried vegetables.
“Hilary was incredibly warm, even visiting the kitchen to personally thank the staff, and both she and her guest were genuinely friendly, soaking in the vibrant and welcoming ambiance of Vij’s rooftop dining,” added Vij’s.
While he may be best known for his role as Eddie Huang in the popular sitcom Fresh Off The Boat, Hudson Yang is no stranger to the culinary world. Currently, he’s starred in two cooking shows: Crash Course Cuisine with Hudson Yang and Order Up.
Yang was seen spending some time sampling the local food scene in Vancouver for his second season of Order Up.

But this wasn’t the only stop on Yang’s food tour. On his Instagram story, he posted that he enjoyed a meal at the newly opened steak frites restaurant Handson. He made sure to thank the restaurant for a “fantastic meal.”
Additionally, Yang took to the water to spend time catching Dungeness crab with Jenice Yu, “Sea-E-O” of eatFish.ca, a fish market that operated a Burnaby shop for 17 years before moving to a strictly online model at the end of April 2025.
