Marcin Szoltysik got in the cage before deciding he didn’t want to fight at Babilon MMA 54.

The Polish heavyweight was supposed to trade blows with Jacek Kujtowski on Saturday night.

However, their fight was called off immediately after the first bell sounded to start the bout.

Marcin Szoltysik instantly dropped to one knee and tapped the floor to submit to his opponent.

Jacek Kujtowski looked confused before walking over to his rival with his right fist cocked.

The referee, who had already waved things off, stepped in to ensure no punches were thrown.

Marcin Szoltysik refused to explain his weird behavior before heading backstage at the  Hala Widowiskowo-Sportowa in Grudziądz, Poland.

Babilon subsequently issued a statement addressing the strange submission victory for Kujtowski.

“A bizarre situation occurred in the fight between Kujtkowski and Szołtysik,” the promotion wrote on Facebook.

“Fans expected a fierce brawl, but only one fighter was ready for it. Marcin Szołtysik frightened on social media with workouts like Tong Po from the iconic ‘Kickboxer’, but in the cage he showed nothing at all and gave up on the very fight, without even taking up a fight.

“Jacek Kujtkowski (4-2) officially wins by submission in the first second of the first round, but only time will tell how this result will be recorded.”
