The St. Louis Blues are keeping one of their key pieces on the blue line around.

The 33-year-old was acquired by St. Louis from the Anaheim Ducks last season, and he helped the team earn a playoff berth.

Fowler appeared in 51 regular-season games with the Blues last season, posting 36 points after struggling with four points in his first 17 games with the Ducks.

His addition proved valuable in the post-season when he had two goals and 10 points in seven games, setting a new franchise mark for points in a single series.

Fowler was drafted by the Ducks in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft and has 105 goals and 493 points in 1,042 career regular-season games. He has also recorded eight goals and 43 points in 69 playoff games.
