This incident has sparked renewed warnings from wildlife experts about the extreme dangers of performing with venomous animals. Snakes have long been creatures that have made people scared and curious. Often, spotting a snake, especially a venomous one, can send people into panic. Yet, people, specifically in India, are also deeply connected to culture, mythology, and rural life. While snakes play a crucial role in the ecosystem, helping control pests like rats, they are often misunderstood and mistreated. In some places, snake rescuers are seen as local heroes, like people who step in fearlessly when these reptiles enter homes or farmland. However, the line between rescue and risky showmanship can sometimes get blurred. When people treat venomous snakes like props for public entertainment, things can quickly go from impressive to deadly. Experts have always warned against handling such dangerous animals without the right training or protection, but in many areas, this advice often goes ignored. One such tragic example recently unfolded in Odisha’s Balangir district.Snake rescuer kisses the snake and this turns fatal
