The Calgary Stampeders have acquired defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV from the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft.
Mauldin, 32, has 26 defensive tackles and two sacks through 14 games with the Redblacks this season.
“We’re very excited to have Lorenzo on the team,” said Stampeders general manager and head coach Dave Dickenson in a statement. “We’ve seen firsthand that he is one of the premier defensive linemen in the league.”
The 6-foot-4 lineman has been a premier defensive force throughout his six-season career, landing the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2022 and was named a league all-star in 2022 and 2024.
Mauldin has 163 defensive tackles and 36 sacks in 90 career CFL games split between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Redblacks.
The Stampeders sit in second place in the West Division with an 8-6 record and are four points behind the Saskatchewan Roughriders for top spot with four games remaining in the regular season.
