The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed wide receiver Tyrone (T.J.) Davis to a future contract starting in 2026 on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Tyrone Davis is six foot three and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Davis signed with the Green Bay Blizzard (IFL) on July 24, 2024, during the team’s playoff run. He did not see any action. He re-signed with the Blizzard on November 27, 2025.

In 2025, he made 70 catches for 904 yards, 26 touchdowns, completed one pass for four yards, one touchdown, 14 carries for 45 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 21 kick returns for 355 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 19 games, helping the Blizzard reach the IFL Championship Game against the Vegas Knight Hawks. He was named Second Team All-IFL.

Collegiately, Davis spent five seasons at the University of Nebraska-Kearney (2019-23) as a quarterback, completing 402 of 698 passes (58%) for 6,525 yards, 61 touchdowns, 28 interceptions, 852 carries for 4,361 yards, 61 rushing touchdowns, three catches for eight yards, one receiving touchdown, and seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist) in 49 games for the Lopers.

Davis was named a two-time First Team All-MIAA, two-time MIAA Offensive Player of the Year, two-time Harlon Hill Trophy finalist, and two-time All-American by AFCA, D2CCA, and Don Hansen Football Gazette. He had the most touchdowns of any Loper in one season (119), and is one of two Lopers with three 1,000 rushing-yard seasons.
