When asked on We’re Not Kidding with Mehdi & Friends whether he viewed the world more like Captain America or Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo replied, “Captain America.” He also stated that Hulk would beat Superman and Red Hulk, adding, “No one beats the Hulk.”
Ruffalo began playing Bruce Banner / The Hulk in The Avengers (2012). He frequently answers questions about hypothetical Marvel scenarios, including the 2016 storyline Captain America: Civil War. He said his ideology aligns with Captain America and suggested that his Hulk would side with Steve Rogers, even though the films show Bruce Banner as closer friends with Tony Stark.
Ruffalo emphasized continuity as one of his favorite aspects of working with Marvel, saying, “I mean, never thought I would have a real legit steady job. It is, it’s my steady job.”
The actor also acknowledged reports about future Marvel appearances. In the interview, he responded to speculation about Hulk being included in an upcoming Spider-Man film, saying, “I can’t confirm or deny it. That’s what I’m reading.” He described working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as providing a rare sense of family and longevity in an acting career that typically moves from project to project.
