MANNY PACQUIAO hopes to guide a new generation of fighters to success in America following the official Stateside launch of his promotional company.
Originally established in 2006 as MP Promotions, the venture has now been rebranded as Manny Pacquiao Promotions (MPP). In a press release, it was described as “an ambitious new venture aimed at reshaping the future of the sport he helped define.”
Pacquiao, who turns 47 in December, is best remembered for a phenomenal career that saw him capture world titles in eight different weight divisions. Just two months ago, the 5ft 5½ins southpaw ended a four-year retirement to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title. The fight ended in a draw, but showed that “Pac-Man” still had plenty to offer despite his age and long career.
With MPP, however, Pacquiao is entering a new role – one he hopes will allow him to give back to the sport that defined his life.
“It is an honour to bring Manny Pacquiao Promotions to the U.S.,” said Pacquiao. “Some of my most unforgettable moments happened inside American rings. Now, I want to help create those same moments for today’s fighters.
“Through talent-stacked events and an elite platform, we’ll showcase the rising stars and seasoned warriors ready to capture the world’s attention.”
Pacquiao’s long-time advisor Sean Gibbons will serve as President of MPP, while Hollywood executive and entrepreneur Tony Cohen has joined as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President.
“We’ve only just launched in August 2025, and we already have two world title fights and an amazing fight scheduled for November,” said Cohen.
Event announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
