NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Briscoe reckons the average fan will enjoy the upcoming NASCAR 25 video game, which is set to release later this month.

On October 14, NASCAR 25, developed by iRacing, will be released on the Playstation 5 and Xbox X|S. It will be released a month later on PC on November 11. iRacing is well known for its racing simulations, having first partnered up with NASCAR back in 2010.

Recently, NASCAR’s various speedways released trailers from their own social media accounts, showcasing gameplay of NASCAR 25, a game that Briscoe and fellow driver John Hunter Nemechek have been getting hands-on experience with.

And after getting to grips with the game, Briscoe believes NASCAR 25 is a game all fans will be able to play. “The average person would probably have trouble getting around the track in iRacing,” said Briscoe after dueling with his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Christopher Bell, virtually.

“This is a game I can play with (wife) Marissa.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” Nemechek said. “It’s a new year. Growing up, one of my favorite things to do was to play NASCAR 2002, NASCAR 2003, and I’m looking forward to NASCAR 25.”

NASCAR 25 features all four NASCAR Racing Series, with the Cup, Xfinity, CRAFTSMAN Truck and ARCA Menards, all represented in what will also be iRacing’s first venture into console racing.

“The is the first time that iRacing is coming to console at all,” iRacing developer Matt Lewis said.

“We have, obviously, a 30-year relationship with NASCAR going back to their early days on sim and PC, but this is the first time on console.

DON’T MISS…

“So, a lot of the driving aspects and things like that you would expect from iRacing’s super-authentic race physics are in the game, and we’re really excited to bring it to console for the first time.”

Lewis added: “It’s been about six years since there’s been a NASCAR console game at all. In that same span that we’ve been doing sim for about 30 years, there have been five or six different publishers.

“This is iRacing’s first effort on the console, and we expect to build another 30 years doing console games now as well.”
