Merab Dvalishvili ($9,300)

Merab “The Machine” Dvalishvili is coming off a submission victory against Sean O’Malley at UFC 316 in June. This was Dvalishvili’s first submission victory in eight years. Dvalishvili has been on an incredible run in the past three years. He has defeated four former champions: Jose Aldo, Petr Yan, Henry Cejudo, and O’Malley. Dvalishvili is on a 13-fight win streak, which is tied for the third-longest win streak in UFC history.

Dvalishvili is the fourth-highest-priced fighter on this card, at $9,300, which is surprising considering his recent success. Through his 15 fights in the UFC, Dvalishvili is averaging 119.3 fantasy points per contest. The only two fighters who average more than him are Austin Vanderford and JooSang Yoo, but they each have only one fight in the UFC.

Dvalishvili has surpassed 111 fantasy points in five straight bouts with four 120-plus point performances. As Dvalishvili continues his title reign, he somehow figures out a way to improve and fine-tune each area of his game. Now he faces Cory Sandhagen, who most recently beat Deiveson Figueiredo by KO/TKO in May. Although Sandhagen is taller with a larger standing reach, Dvalishvili has dealt with that in the past against O’Malley and proved it not to be a significant disadvantage.

Jiri Prochazka ($8,500)

The third fight on UFC 320 is a fight fans’ dream. Jiri Prochazka takes on Khalil Rountree Jr. in a three-round Light Heavyweight bout. Both 205-pound contenders possess a tremendous amount of power in their hands. But in this matchup, it heavily favors Prochazka and is not as close as you might think.

Prochazka is two inches taller (6’3″ vs. 6’1″) with a four-inch reach advantage (80″ vs. 76″). Also, Prochazka averages nearly two more significant strikes per minute (5.74 vs. 3.79) while landing at a 15 percent more accurate rate (55% vs. 40%). When Prochazka has faced anyone other than Alex Pereira, he has not only been good but also dominant. Prochazka has recorded at least 104 fantasy points in three of his last five contests.

Rountree is powerful, but Prochazka has demonstrated in the past that he has an elite chin and can absorb big shots while advancing with his own offense. If Prochazka can back Rountree down early in this fight, it should lead to plenty of success for the former champion.

Alex Pereira ($7,300)

Getting Alex Pereira at only $7,300 is excellent value. Yes, he is coming off a 35-point performance against Magomed Ankalaev, but before that, Pereira had three straight bouts with 100-plus points. Although Pereira to Ankalaev, it wasn’t all negative for the former champion.

Pereira displayed his elite takedown defense as he stuffed all 12 of Ankalaev’s takedown attempts in the contest. But Ankalaev finished with over five minutes of control time while outlanding the former champion by 18 significant strikes. However, Pereira could have just had an off night; that said, it doesn’t detract from Ankalev’s greatness. Both things can be true at the same time.

Since entering the UFC in 2021, Pereira has quickly become one of the best fighters in the promotion, thanks to his exceptional activity and consistency. After his first loss in the UFC, Pereira returned with a victory against former Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz. Ankalev getting the best of Pereira wasn’t the most shocking thing. The thing that surprised me the most was Pereira’s output, as he only threw 159 total strikes. Before that bout, Pereira attempted 211 and 214 strikes in fights that made it to the championship rounds. Pereira is known for his one-of-a-kind power, but his accuracy and high output played a big part in his success as well.

Ankalaev is a tough opponent to combat, but if Pereira is on his A-game, he has shown to be unstoppable in the past. Adding Pereira, a former two-division champion, to your lineup at $7,300 is a steal considering the upside he has previously shown in championship fights.
