Barça’s latest signing, Marcus Rashford, will wear the number 14 jersey for the 2025/26. The England international arrives on loan from Manchester United and will give coach Hansi Flick further options up front, all the while wearing a shirt number worn by some illustrious names in blaugrana history.
Pablo Torre, the most recent
The previous owner of the number 14 shirt was Pablo Torre, the latest in a long line of wearers that goes back to the 1990s. Jordi Cruyff, son of the Barça legend Johan, wore the famous shirt in the 1995-96 season, imitating his father who made the number famous during his playing career.
Others to wear the number were Gerard López (1999-2000), Santi Ezquerro (2004-05) and Thierry Henry, the Frenchman shining for Barça in the 14 jersey from 2007 to 2010.
Mascherano, eight seasons in the 14
Later on, Javier Mascherano spent 2010 to 2018 in the jersey in his own committed and belligerent style. Since then the likes of Coutinho, Malcom, Nico González, Memphis Depay, and João Félix have worn the 14 shirt.
Marcus Rashford now has the challenge of wearing a number linked to some of the most recognisable names in the Club’s recent history.
