Last week, Typhoon Ragasa wreaked havoc across Asia.

The storm, one of the strongest in years, caused death and destruction, with reports of 10 killed in the Philippines and 17 in Taiwan – the latter of which saw catastrophic flooding. Then, the tempest made its way to China, where more huge waves were documented.

In one instance, as reposted from big wave documentarian Tim Bonython, two women and a child were attempting to take a selfie with the squalls in the background of Hong Kong, when a rogue wave swept them off their feet. Watch below.
