Ames, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team picked up five victories on day two of its home tournament, going 2-0 in doubles and 2-1 in singles (not counting the match between two ISU players). 

In singles, Suzanie Pretorius stayed perfect on the season, knocking off Arkansas’ Arina Babenko, 6-2, 7-5. Kira Smith also picked up a victory, defeating Kansas State’s Mallory Renfro, 6-1, 6-2. Gabriela Felix beat fellow Cyclone Valeska San Martin Ramirez, 6-4, 6-1, while Gabriella Kellner fell in her respective singles match. 

In doubles, Pretorius and Kellner picked up their first victory as a duo by defeating Babeko and Alexandra Panagiotidou, 8-7 (6). San Martin and Felix capped off the 2 for 2 day in doubles by blanking Mallory and Addison Renfro from K-State, 8-0. 

The Cyclones are back in action Sunday morning on the final day of the Cyclone Invite.
