How we choose Galaxy Watch deals at CNET
CNET’s dedicated deals writers have highlighted the best offers available on the current generation of Galaxy Watches, as well as previous-gen models that you can still find on sale. We’ve elevated any straightforward deals that don’t require any special discounts but we’ve included trade-in and carrier offers because they’re a great way to score some additional savings. We’ve also ensured that all deals featured on this list are from a trusted retailer so you never have to worry if an offer is too good to be true.
There are a number of different Galaxy Watches to choose from at the moment. The Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra are the latest models on the market and the pricing for the different configurations are as follows:
Galaxy Watch 8 (40mm): $350Galaxy Watch 8 (44mm): $380Galaxy Watch 8 (cellular, 40mm): $400Galaxy Watch 8 (cellular, 44mm): $430Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm): $300Galaxy Watch 7 (44mm): $330Galaxy Watch 7 (cellular, 40mm): $350Galaxy Watch 7 (cellular, 44mm): $380Galaxy Watch Ultra: $650
There are a number of older configurations that you can still find in stock as well. The Galaxy Watch 6 starts at $300 and jumps up to $400 if you want the Classic model. There’s also the Galaxy Watch 5, which now lists for $280, and the $450 Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
The Galaxy Watch 8 comes in silver or graphite. The Galaxy Watch Ultra features a titanium finish that is available in silver, white or gray. If you want the Galaxy Watch 7, your color options are green and cream. The Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic colors are gold, black, silver and graphite, and the original colors for the Galaxy Watch 5 series are graphite, silver, pink gold, purple, sapphire and black. Just note that there is limited availability for these older models and quite a few colors are no longer available.
If you’re looking to pick up a new Galaxy smartwatch, you should check Samsung’s online store first, as the manufacturer regularly offers savings on new and previous-gen models. Oftentimes, these deals are also matched at major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. It’s also worth checking at smaller online retailers like Adorama and Newegg because they might be offering deals that haven’t been matched by bigger competitors, especially if you’re in the market for a previous-gen model.
While you can find sporadic savings on Galaxy Watches throughout the year, the best deals are usually reserved for major shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day. There’s also a big wave of offers when a new generation is released, which typically happens in the summer.
