Local author Peter Vaudry will be marking the release of his newest work at a special event hosted by St. Vincent Place on Monday
St. Vincent Place and local author Peter Vaudry will be marking the publication of Vaudry’s latest book at an event next week.
Vaudry’s latest book, Kindness is Sault Ste. Marie, is about the power of kindness and the ways it can make a positive difference in a person’s life, based on Vaudry’s own personal experiences.
“I was becoming concerned about the growing frequency of public and online displays of angry and resentment-laden behaviour. I wanted to encourage people to be proactive about protecting our community from the corrosive potential of such behaviour,” Vaudry said.
“My aim in writing this book is to make evident that acting with kindness is something Saultites have always done, that is still present and thriving in the youth of today, and most importantly, that it is something to be cherished and protected.”
The event is being held on Monday at St. Vincent Place beginning at 1:30 p.m. Vaudry will read a selection from the book and will also be available to sign copies of it, which will be sold at the event.
Proceeds from sales of the book will be donated to St. Vincent Place.
