A current AEW star has quietly undergone a name change.

On All Elite Wrestling’s official roster page, fans were quick to notice that Adam Copeland no longer goes by “Cope.” The star is now referred to by his full name, Adam Copeland. The name change now sees the star, formerly known as Edge during his time in WWE, go by his real-life name.

Copeland joined AEW in 2023, where he made his debut at the WrestleDream pay-per-view. During his time with the company, Copeland has gone through a litany of runs, including winning the TNT Championship in late 2023.

After a major feud with his longtime friend Christian Cage, Copeland recently reunited with Cage. The pair competed at AEW All Out, defeating FTR in a big match. However, the match ended with Copeland having to watch as FTR attacked both Cage and Copeland’s wife, Beth. In September, Copeland announced that he had to leave for a bit in order to take care of his family.
