Alex Pereira has recaptured the light heavyweight crown.

Avenging his loss to Magomed Ankalaev atop the UFC 320 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas sent “Poatan” to No. 6 in the official pound-for-pound rankings, with “Big Ank” tumbling four spots to No. 11. In addition, Ankalaev is now tied with Jiri Prochazka — who stopped former title challenger Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 320 — for the coveted No. 1 position at 205 pounds.

Elsewhere on the charts, middleweight bruiser Joe Pyfer made his debut in the middleweight rankings, clocking in at No. 15 after finishing Abus Magomedov on the UFC 320 main card. In addition, Youssef Zalal’s destruction of Josh Emmett sent the “Moroccan Devil” up two rungs on the featherweight ladder. In women’s bantamweight action, Yana Santos cracked the division Top 5 after disposing of too-heavy Macy Chiasson.

Here’s how the rankings are compiled, at least until AI takes over:

Rankings are generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.
