An NHL insider has given an update on what type of contract Vancouver Canucks free agent target Jack Roslovic is looking for on the market this summer.

In recent weeks reports have suggested that the Vancouver Canucks have interest in free agent centerman Jack Roslovic, who is coming off a strong campaign offensively where he tied his career-high in goals with 22, helping the Carolina Hurricanes reach the Eastern Conference Final.”Is there a match between the Canucks and Jack Roslovic?

Insider gives update on what contract Vancouver Canucks target Jack Roslovic is looking for

In a social media post on Wednesday morning, Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali gave an update on the Vancouver Canucks’ interest in Jack Roslovic, sharing that the two sides continue to talk about a potential contract.

“For those asking, not sure where this goes but the Canucks continue to talk with UFA Jack Roslovic’s camp.” Dhaliwal said.

Further to that, Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects revealed that Roslovic is reportedly seeking a multi-year contract in the two or three year range at a little over $3 million annually.

“Sounds like Roslovic’s camp is looking for a 2 or 3-year deal at just over 3M per.” Robinson said.

Robinson also shared that there are a few teams with interest in Jack Roslovic, but the one that has been the most consistent recently is Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks, but there are other options that the team is exploring.

“There are a few teams interested, but VAN seems to be the most consistent.

My understanding is they have a couple options they’re considering though.” Robinson said.

Roslovic, 28, finished the 2024-25 season with 39 points (22 goals, 17 assists), ten penalty minutes and was a minus-ten in 81 games for the Hurricanes.

While Jack Roslovic would be a solid addition for the Canucks, regardless if they used him as a center or winger in a middle-six role, however, that cost is quite steep and that could be why a deal hasn’t been completed between the two sides just yet.
