Ryan Wohl gives his picks for this week’s UFC Fight Night in Brazil featuring a Main Event matchup between Charles Oliveira and Mateusz Gamrot.
The former Lightweight Champion, Charles Oliveira, headlines the UFC’s return to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, against fellow top 10 155-pounder Mateusz Gamrot. A Brazilian fighter is featured in all 13 fights on this card. Another former champion, No. 6 Deiveson Figueiredo, is on this card and will take on No. 15 Montel Jackson in the co-main event.
The Prelims begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, with the Main Card starting at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Check out my favorite fighters to add to your daily fantasy lineup for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night.

Joel Alvarez ($9,500)
The third fight from the top features a Welterweight bout between Vicente Luque vs. Joel Alvarez. 10-year UFC veteran Luque lost his last fight to Kevin Holland at UFC 316 in June and has suffered two defeats in his previous three contests. Although Alvarez is one year younger than Luque, he is on a phenomenal run, having won three straight fights by finish, and has won seven of his last eight bouts.
Alvarez has totaled 94-plus fantasy points in four of five fights. In his nine UFC fights, Alvarez has had two performances with 15 points or fewer; however, aside from those, he has been remarkably consistent. Alvarez is four inches taller (6’3″ vs. 5’11”) than Luque, with a two-inch standing reach advantage (77″ vs. 75″).
This fight will likely be contested the majority of the time on the feet, and it favors Alvarez. Luque’s last three losses were by KO/TKO or submission, and he hasn’t looked like the elite contender we saw win 10 of 11 fights from 2017 to 2021. If Alvarez comes out aggressive and forces Luque to move backwards, another dominant outing is very possible.
Montel Jackson ($9,000)
On this card, Montel Jackson is the second-highest-priced fighter, but it is for good reason. He has totaled 106-plus fantasy points in two of his last three fights and three of his previous five. Jackson has won six straight fights in the UFC, including a recent victory over Daniel Marcos in May 2025.
Jackson is taking on the best opponent of his career with former UFC Champion, Deiveson Figueiredo. But Jackson has a ton of advantages over Figueiredo. Jackson stands five inches taller (5’10” vs. 5’5″) with a massive seven-inch edge in standing reach (75″ vs. 68″).
Also on the feet, Jackson averages 0.40 more significant strikes per minute while only absorbing 1.39 significant strikes per minute. Although Figueiredo is skilled on the ground, he isn’t as advanced as Jackson statistically. Jackson lands more takedowns (3.24 vs. 1.69), boasting better takedown accuracy (62% vs. 35%) and defense (68% vs. 58%) than Figueiredo. This is the fight that can propel Jackson up the rankings into a legit title contender, and he has all the skills to win and put together an elite fantasy performance.
Charles Oliveira ($7,800)
Charles Oliveira has a tough matchup with Gamrot on Saturday, but getting Do Bronx at $7,800 is still an excellent value play. Oliveira is coming off a fight against Ilia Topuria, where he only scored four points, but before that, he recorded 123 fantasy points.
Throughout Oliveira’s illustrious career, he has been a tremendous finisher, with 21 submissions and 10 knockouts. No matter who his opponent is, Oliveira is always a threat to pick up a finish. Even though Oliveira has been inconsistent as a fantasy scorer recently, he has still recorded at least 114 points in two of his last four contests. He has surpassed 90 points in eight of his previous 12 bouts. Oliveira hasn’t had back-to-back fights with fewer than 80 points since 2016.
Oliveira needs to make this fight against Gamrot a striking battle, and if he does so, the former champion should find a ton of success. That is because Oliveira is the better all-around striker than Gamrot, as he averages more significant strikes per minute (3.41 vs. 3.35) at a better rate (55% vs. 51%).
