New York Islanders forward Jonathan Drouin will have a hearing Friday for cross-checking forward Connor Dewar during Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Drouin was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for the cross-check with 14 seconds remaining in the contest.
The 30-year-old recorded his first goal in Thursday’s contest in his Isles debut after signing a two-year, $8 million deal with the team in the offseason.
Drouin has 108 goals and 375 points in 608 NHL games with the Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Montreal Canadiens, and Colorado Avalanche.
He was originally selected third overall by the Lightning in the 2013 NHL Draft.
