Turtle power!
At MagicCon Atlanta, Wizards of the Coast announced nearly the full slate of 2026 set releases for Magic: The Gathering, but they left one surprise Universes Beyond set for New York Comic Con. Today, during the Nickelodeon x Magic: The Gathering panel in New York, that Universes Beyond set was revealed: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are headed to Magic in March 2026.
The initial reveal included a single preconstructed Commander deck featuring all four turtles, with a unique Partner ability called Character Select, which will allow players using the deck to mix and match their lead characters at will. Cards for all four turtles were also revealed, along with appearances by Splinter, April O’Neil, Rocksteady and Bebop, Krang, Super Shredder, and more.
The MTG TMNT set will include Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and a new Draft Night bundle for four-player drafts. There will also be a special Pizza Bundle on March 27, with Play Boosters, a Collector Booster, and more items contained in a TMNT-themed pizza box.
TMNT will also introduce a new product to Magic, the Turtle Team-Up co-op experience, where 2-4 players can team up with decks themed around each turtle and take on multiple villains from TMNT history who are represented as Boss cards. Baxter Stockman, Shredder, Rat King, and Krang were shown as examples of Boss cards included in the kit.
The set launches March 6 in big box retailers and local game stores, with prerelease events scheduled for February 27. See the gallery below for cards, artwork, and product images from the NYCC panel reveal.
