Nearly 58,000 wireless power banks sold in Canada and the United States are being recalled after Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned they could pose a fire hazard.
The recall notice published Thursday warns customers to “immediately stop using” some models of the ESR HaloLock wireless power banks sold on Amazon and the official ESR website.
Consumers are asked to contact the distributor, Waymeet Limited for a full refund.
According to Health Canada, the lithium-ion battery on the recalled power banks can overheat and subsequently pose as a fire hazard.
The recalled products include:
ESR HaloLock wireless power bank with model number 2G520 in colours black, white and light blue.ESR HaloLock wireless power bank with model number 2G505B in colours black, white, light blue and grey.ESR HaloLock wireless power bank with model number 2G512B in colours dark blue, light blue, grey, white and black.ESR HaloLock wireless power bank with model number 2G505 in colours black and white.

The company reported that 11,757 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and 46,190 were sold in the U.S. between October 2022 and July 2025.
“Dispose of it by contacting your municipality for instructions on how to safely transport and dispose of lithium-ion batteries,” the recall stated.
The company received nine reports of fire incidents that resulted in property damage in Canada and 11 similar reports in the U.S., the recall notice said. There were no reports of injuries.
The earlier recall included ESR HaloLock wireless power banks under model numbers 2G520, 2G505B and 2G512B, that were sold in Canada and the U.S. between September 2023 and July 2025 through Amazon and The Home Depot’s website.
Health Canada reminds consumers that selling, distributing or giving away recalled products is prohibited by law.
