The #6 Middlebury women’s tennis team closed the fall portion of its schedule at the Bowdoin Invitational. The three-day event featured five teams, including NESCAC foes Bowdoin and Tufts, alongside Babson, Brandeis and the Panthers. 

SINGLES HIGHLIGHTS


In singles, Middlebury posted a 14-7 mark with each player tallying at least one victory.
Diya Pachamuthu went a perfect 3-0, including a three-set thriller over Charly Saltz of Brandeis (6-2, 5-7, 10-4). Joining Pachamuthu with undefeated marks were Charlotte McCann (3-0) and Lulu Wu (2-0).
Elizabeth Doak had a pair of triumphs by matching 6-1,6-3 decisions over Sanjana Kumar (Brandeis) and Lila Moldenhauer (Bowdoin).

DOUBLES HIGHLIGHTS


Middlebury added an 8-5 record in doubles to close the weekend.
Leading the way were the duos of Elise Van Wieren and Pachamuthu and Anna Lardner and Ren Barton, who each had 3-1 marks.
Gusty Beveridge and Wu went 2-1 as a pairing.

NOTES


Wu and Van Wieren surpassed the 60 and 30 career singles victory plateaus, respectively.
The program closes the fall season with a 48-17 mark in singles and 19-12 in doubles action.

The Panthers are idle until the spring portion of their schedule.
