Taylor first announced she’d be writing and directing her first movie in 2022 alongside Searchlight Pictures, and she’s teased the idea over the years in interviews.
“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller,” Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield shared in a statement at the time. “It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
The InSneider reported that screenwriter Alice Birch was working on a script draft, but other sources denied anyone but Taylor would handle the screenplay, per Variety. Does she finally have news about when the movie is coming?
