Sorry to say but Tailwind Endurance Fuel isn’t on sale. I’m recommending you pick some up anyway.

Today I’m breaking the rules. Not so long ago I started this regular Velo deals column about deals and there’s rules to it. I go out and find you cycling related deals I think are good then post them here. I never post anything I don’t think is worthwhile but I also look for sales so you don’t have to. This time I’m posting about Tailwind Endurance Fuel not because it’s on sale but because it’s worth buying anyway.

Laying in bed Saturday night I realized I was going to wake up the next morning and do a three-hour tempo ride on Zwift and I had no drink mix. I know I do best drinking my calories but somehow I’d forgotten I was out of everything. I was able to jump on Amazon and have Tailwind Endurance Fuel delivered at 7am.

I didn’t take advantage of a sale. I bought it because after years of using it on my biggest rides and hardest efforts, I know it works. Now I’m recommending it to you.

I’ve linked to the 50-serving bag but there’s also a 30-serving option for a bit less money. Alternatively, if you want to try it out, there’s the option of going for a bag of 8 single serving packs in a mix of flavors to really see what you like.

Personally though I prefer the bags because it gives flexibility. One scoop is 100 calories/35 grams of carb and 310mg of sodium. I use one scoop per bottle on shorter rides when I just want to stay hydrated. When I stretch out the rides I use 3 scoops per bottle and I’ve managed the longest rides I’ve ever done fuelling with Tailwind primarily without stomach issues.

Flavor is up to you but I grabbed the Raspberry Buzz most recently and typically use either the orange or lemon options. The trend is towards neutral with the sweet options leaning sweet while the lemon leans tart but not nearly as tart as Skratch.
