In one of the biggest games of the year for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, wide receiver Nic Demski has been ruled out for the team’s Week 20 contest against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The 31-year-old didn’t participate in either of the team’s practice sessions this week, as the former Rider has been dealing with a hamstring injury.
The Winnipeg native recorded his third straight 1,000-yard season in 2025, putting up 1,001 yards thus far to go along with 67 catches and seven touchdowns.
In Demski’s seven years wearing Bombers colours, he’s totaled 425 catches for 5,560 yards and 39 touchdowns.
A win against the Roughriders would virtually clinch a playoff spot for the Blue Bombers, though they would need an Edmonton Elks loss and/or a Calgary Stampeders win to lock it in.
Winnipeg holds the tiebreaker in the standings over the BC Lions and Elks, but not the Stampeders.
Electric return man and defensive back Trey Vaval is lised as questionable with an ankle injury, while defensive back Michael Griffin is doubtful with a knee injury.
