The Minnesota Wild announced the acquisition of forward Oskar Olausson from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenceman Kyle Masters.
Olausson will report to the AHL’s Iowa Wild.
Olausson, 22, recorded 11 goals and 26 points in 62 games with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles last season. The Stockholm, Sweden native made his NHL debut in 2022-23 with the Colorado Avalanche and has suited up for four total games, recording zero points.
He was originally drafted 28th overall by the Avs in the 2021 NHL Draft.
Masters, 22, played 27 games with the ECHL’s Iowa Heartlanders last season, tallying five goals and 13 points. He added one goal and three points in 16 games with the Iowa Wild.
Masters was originally drafted 118th overall by the Wild in the 2021 NHL Draft.
