The men’s tennis team opened their 2025–26 season on a high note with a commanding 7-0 victory over Manhattanville University in Purchase, New York.

The Bearcats earned the doubles point by winning two of three matches in the seven-point format. Juan Paredes and Ryan Huang posted a 6-1 win at second doubles, while newcomers Joshua Bey and Anlact Huynh made an impressive debut with a 6-0 victory at third doubles.

Baruch then swept all six singles matches to complete the shutout. Juan Mendoza battled through a tight first set to win 7-6 (11-9) and secured the match with a 6-2 second set at first singles. Philipp Roeder (#2) and Tuna Nergizoglu (#3) followed with straight-set wins, 6-2, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-0, respectively, to seal the win.

The Bearcats will return to action next semester, opening their spring schedule against Yeshiva University on March 1.
