Paul created Most Valuable Prospects, “a new boxing series created to highlight the next generation of the sport’s best male and female athletes, who all have world title aspirations.”
Juarez (38-4) first held super flyweight gold in 2020. After losing two straight against Ashley Macias for the belt, she won it back in 2024. The 38-year-old is on a four-fight win streak.
The Mexican warrior isn’t looking to lose gold again just yet and is ready to risk it all to get her hand raised on Saturday.
“I’m the world champion, and no one is taking what’s mine,” said Juarez. “I’m determined to go to all-out war on Saturday, October 18—a truly Mexican war.”
Plata (30-2) held the interim WBC light flyweight title before dethroning longtime champion Yesica Bopp. She then beat Kim Clavel in 2023 to become the WBC champion. “La Poderosa” returns to the ring for the first time in two years.
Once on top of the world, Plata is ready to return to glory against Juarez.
Also on the card, Desley Robinson defends the IBF and WBO middleweight titles against Logan Holler. Robinson (10-3) is on a five-fight win streak. The Aussie faces the dangerous Holler (11-3-1), on a two-fight win streak.
