After a disappointing second season which saw her play in only 13 games due to injuries, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark announced to fans that she will be back in action in a few days.

But the action this time will see Clark on the golf course rather than on the basketball court.

The 2024 Rookie of the Year revealed that she will play in The Annika Pro-Am tournament holding at the Pelican Golf Club in Florida next month.

It will also be her second time in the event hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam, as Clark played alongside Sorenstam and fellow icon Nelly Korda last year.

Ahead of the competition, the Fever star made a hilarious promise to fans on her Instagram story on Thursday.

“Will try not to hit anyone 🙏,” she captioned the post.

Given her innate competitiveness, Clark will likely try to take home the championship, which comes with a hefty $3.25 million prize money. And not hitting anyone while at it sounds like a good plan too.

Clark’s participation in The Annika Pro-Am last year attracted huge crowds, as her popularity continued to soar even outside the WNBA.

Last season was a dismal campaign for Caitlin Clark as she struggled with recurring injuries for the first time ever to her quad, groin, and ankle. Not only that, Clark was also at the center of comments allegedly made by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert over players’ salaries.

However, she will be hoping to use this competition to restart on a clean slate while looking forward to emerging stronger in her third league season.
