GREENVILLE, S.C. –  Senior Owen Kose tied for 20th individually to lead the James Madison men’s golf team to a 10th-place finish at the Furman Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon.
 
Kose’s 20th-place finish marks his best of 2025-26 and 10th career top-25. The Holly Springs, N.C. native posted rounds of 73-70-74 on the par-71, 7,131-yard Furman University Golf Course for a 217 (+4) total.
 
Freshman Ethan Anderson finished a stroke behind Kose at 218 (+5) with rounds of 71-71-76 to tie for 27th out of 87 players. Senior Alex Seibal matched Anderson’s 54-hole output, carding rounds of 72-73-73.
 
As a team, JMU finished in 10th out of 15 teams at 877 (+25).
 
Stetson captured the team title with a three-round tally of 849 (-3), the only team to finish under par. Matthis Lefevre of Stetson won the individual title with a three-round aggregate of 207 (-7), highlighted by a 65 (-6) in his first round on Saturday.
 
Václav Tichý both tied for 34th with 54-hole tallies of 220 (+7). Michael Hake tied for 46th with three straight rounds of three-over 74, while sophomore René Bergendirounded out the JMU lineup tied for 57th with scores of 72-73-78.
 
JMU will return to action at the Daytona Intercollegiate on March 2, 2026, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
