CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Elon University women’s tennis team’s week at ITA Carolina Regionals came to an end Sunday. North Carolina is hosting the event at the Chewning Tennis Center.
Junior Simone Bergeron fell to Charlotte’s Sara Suchankova 5-7, 1-6, in a round of 16 consolation match in Elon’s only match of the day.
The Phoenix finished ITA Regionals with 12 wins, with 10 in singles and two in doubles. Three Elon competed advanced to the main draw in singles with four Phoenix doubles teams participating in the main draw.

Elon will wrap up its fall season by hosting its third home tournament, the Phoenix Fall Invitational, on Nov. 1-2 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
