IIn the main event, undefeated rising prospect Bryce Henry clashed with Roderick Stewart in a high-energy bout that showcased Henry’s skill, confidence, and personality — all at once. While Henry delivered arguably his best performance to date, what happened between rounds one and two stole the show.
Instead of sitting down to recover or listening to his corner, Henry decided to play a game of chess. Yes, chess — mid-fight. Cameras caught him moving pieces on a small board during the break, the bizarre moment immediately went viral online.
Check out the absurd clip below:
Unfortunately for the bare-knuckle brawler, his chess fundamentals weren’t as sharp as his punches — as he tried to move a pawn sideways (spoiler: pawns can’t do that).
Once the bell rang again, Henry returned to what he does best. He dropped Stewart two more times in the second round before the referee waved it off with one second left on the clock.
After the fight, Henry (6-0) called for a title fight with Julian Lane (yeah that Julian Lane), and considering all six of his wins have come by stoppage, that call might not be too far-fetched.
