A former WWE United States Champion seems set to return to the company in the near future. But what does the company intend to do with him?

Earlier this month, it was reported that Austin Theory was in discussions to be involved with The Vision. This would have seen him compete in the WarGames match next month at Survivor Series. But then Seth Rollins’ injury took place at Crown Jewel. Since then, creative plans have seemingly gone sideways heading into next month’s premium live event.

With The Vision undergoing major creative changes in recent weeks, what does that mean for Austin Theory’s impending return?

According to WrestleVotes, there are voices within the company who are pushing to keep Austin Theory involved in the creative plans, tweeting out:

“Sources indicate there are still voices within the company pushing to keep Austin Theory involved in creative plans, even after the recent shuffling caused by Seth Rollins’ injury. The idea of Theory joining The Vision was at least discussed, and he still has internal support moving forward to reappear on TV in a significant manner,” WrestleVotes said in a post.

It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for Theory as Rollins’ injury has seemingly derailed big plans for his return.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
